Skippy’s heritage is legendary. His sire, CH. Glamoor Gang Buster brought to the pedigree the great strength of the Glamoor line (and is presently ranked second to his son as top producer). When CH. Jo Jac’s Rise And Shine was bred to Buster, it is no wonder that Skip and his littermates carried some very positive traits. He was able to pass this on to his get along with the exceptional temperament that continues to be seen in his descendants today. In the show ring, Skippy was a steady winner with seven regional specialty Best of Breed, a national specialty Best of Breed, an all-breed Best in Show, and numerous group one wins. For thirteen years he brought joy and companionship beyond compare to his owners.

This photo was most likely taken by Gleanntan cofounder, Ben Dale and it features Gleanntan cofounder Donna Dale with 7-year old “Skippy” - CH. Gleanntan Coming At Ya (CH. Glamoor Gangbuster x CH. Jo Jac’s Rise and Shine). The photo was taken on April 25, 1978 at the 5th Potomac Skye Terrier Club Specialty at the Old Dominion KC show in Reston, Virginia. The judge was the incomparable Lenora (Pentek) Riddle.
