At shows in
Jefferson, Wisconsin on May 3-5, GCH. Ch. Gleanntan
Gaelforce - "Cooper" earned Group 4, Group 4 and Group
3 placements, owner/handled by Travis Wright.
Gleanntan's 110th AKC Champion - Gleanntan
Everybody Loves Lucy - "Lucy" earned the final point
needed for her title at the Harrisburg KC show on April
13.
On March 16,
Ch. Gleanntan Wonderful Wizard of Oz earned his AKC
Grand Championship title. He is the 21st Skye to earn the
title and the 4th Gleanntan Skye from three different
litters. Gus' dam, GCH. Ch. Gleanntan Glindathegoodwitch
was the first Skye bitch and the 4th Skye to earn the
title.
Gleanntan's 109th AKC Champion - Gleanntan First Lady
of the Skyes - "Amelia" earned the final points needed
for her title at the Delaware County KC shows on March
16-17.
At the 137th
Westminster Kennel Club show on Tuesday, February 12, GCH.
Ch. Gleanntan Gaelforce - "Cooper" earned Best of Breed
under judge Mr. David A. Alexander.
On January
25, 2013, we welcomed a new import from Prague, Czech
Republic. 5.5-month old Dexter Jetser Bohemia Skywalker
came to us from his breeder, Jaroslava Serak, Kennel

Skye Terrier Club of America National Specialty Weekend
Highlights: Gleanntan First Lady of the Skyes -
"Amelia" earned Winners Bitch (5-point major) from the
9-12 month Puppy class at Hatboro Dog Club II and Winners
Bitch (5-point major) at the STCA National Specialty -
Montgomery County KC. Amelia was also Best in Sweepstakes
and Best Puppy. GCH. Ch. Gleanntan Gaelforce - "Cooper" earned
the first Award of Merit at Hatboro I; Select Dog at
Hatboro II; Select Dog at Devon and an Award of Merit at
Montgomery.
Skye Terrier
Club of America 2012 Roving National Specialty Weekend -
Greeley, Colorado: GCH. Ch. Gleanntan Gaelforce -
"Cooper" earned Select Dog at the specialty
and he earned Best of Breed at the STCA Supported Entry
show the day after the specialty. He then went on to a
Group 4. The following day, Cooper earned Best of Breed at
the Columbine Skye Terrier Club Supported Entry show. Winners Bitch (from the 6-9
mo. Puppy class) was awarded to 8-month old Gleanntan
Got Busy Bee! - "Emma" for a 5-point major.
Gleanntan
Kennels, Reg. earned a Terrier Group 1 at the Eukanuba
Breeder's Stakes at the Steel Valley Cluster on Saturday,
August 4 under judge Michael Kemp. Our entry consisted of
GCH. Gleanntan Glindathegoodwitch handled by Maida; Ch.
Gleanntan Wonderful Wizard of Oz handled by Michael; and
Ch. Gleanntan Gale's Grace handled by Roxan.
